Beware of an oak, it draws the stroke; avoid an ash, it counts the flash; creep under the thorn, it can save you from harm.Blood is thicker than water.Blood will tell.Blue are the hills that are far away.Brave men lived before Agamemnon. The bread never falls but on its buttered side.A bully is always a coward. The busiest men have the most leisure.Business before pleasure.Ceasar's wife must be above suspicion.Catching's before hanging.A chain is no stronger than its weakest link.A change is as good as a rest.Cheats never prosper. The child is the father of the man.A civil question deserves a civil answer.Clergymen's sons always turn out badly.Coming events cast their shadow before.Councils of war never flight. The difficult is done at once, the impossible takes a little longer.Dogs bark, but the caravan goes on.A dog that will fetch a bone will carry a bone.Do not meet troubles half-way.Don't change horses in mid stream.Don't cross the bridge till you come to it.Don't go near the water until you learn how to swim.Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.East, west, home's best.Easy does it.England's difficulty is Ireland's opportunity. The English are a nation of shipkeepers.Every cloud has a silver lining.Everybody love a lord.Fact is stranger than fiction.Fair play's a jewel.Faith will move mountains.Fear the Greeks bearing gifts.Feed a cold and starve a fever.

We have a bird of paradise that is several years old and it has grown to about 5ft.
Would like to know if it can be cut back, and how much should be cut without damaging it?
We live in Florida, and the plant is in a sunny location facing east, so it does get the morning sun!
Any other information you can give, will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
